2. Officer elections will be held at the November meeting. If anyone is willing to
serve as an officer for the coming year, please let
Sally know. We are also interested in having some Committee Chairs for special
events like the Golf Tournament. Also, possibly select chairs for other
projects/programs of interest such as a Fund Raiser, a person who will attend
other club meetings to get ideas for us to improve our club.
3. Any VDRs in the club, be aware that all VDR terms expire on Dec 31. Beginning
on Nov 1, the Elections Administration will begin scheduling appointments to
renew and sign up for Online Training: Tarrant County has adopted the
procedure that allows a person to proceed with online training by reviewing
the VDR PowerPoint presentation provided by the Secretary of State website.
After reviewing the VDR PowerPoint presentation, you must appear in person at
the Tarrant County Elections Administration Office, you will need to schedule
your appointment. Examination and supplies are issued on Tuesdays and
Thursdays between 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. by reservation
(not available during holidays and election day). Please visit our sign-up tool to
reserve your spot. A potential Volunteer Deputy Registrar can use the training
materials to assist them when completing the examination. After scheduling your
appointment, you must complete and bring with you the request
for Appointment Form*
4. Richard Layne is working on a system for sending group texts within our club.
