Call to Order: The meeting was called to order via Zoom by the club president, Greg Noone, at 7:05 PM, with 19 members and two guest speakers signed in.


Minutes: The Secretary, Lee Traweek, presented the minutes from the October 2020 general meeting. The minutes were approved as presented.

Financial Report: The treasurer, Haley Stackhouse, presented the financial report, with a cash balance of $1,347.75. The treasurer’s report was approved as presented.

Speakers: Diana Branson and Brandon Chase McGee (mcgee4SDEC@gmail.com, 316-990-2006), Texas State Senate District Executive Committee 12 Committeewoman and Committeeman, shared the floor to present a preliminary look at democratic gains in SD12 and their efforts to identify unexploited opportunities to extend those gains in the upcoming election cycles.


Executive Board Election: The 2021 NWTP executive board election was held with the following officers elected:


President - Greg Noone was re-elected to a second term

Vice-President - Michael Stackhouse was re-elected to a second term

Secretary - Karen Horgan was elected

Treasurer - Ron Miller was elected

Communications - Christie Noone was re-elected to a second term

Membership - Cherie Traweek was elected

Announcements: The December 16th meeting will be an informal Zoom party. Wear your ugly Christmas sweater or face mask to spread holiday cheer.

General Discussion: The meeting was preceded by a general discussion on a variety of topics including:

  • How to check the status of a mail-in ballot online

  • The addition of eight new polling locations in Tarrant County

  • The upcoming election


Call to Order: The meeting was called to order via Zoom by the club president, Greg Noone, at 7:29 PM, with 14 participants. Greg emphasized Democratic efforts to get out the vote and the need for volunteers to staff candidate phone banks in the final days before the election.

Financial Report: The treasurer, Haley Stackhouse, presented the financial report, with a cash balance of $1,347.75. The treasurer’s report was approved as presented.

Executive Board Election: The election of the 20201 NWTP executive board is coming up. Greg asked members to give serious consideration to throwing their names in the hat for these leadership positions.


Political Contributions: A recommendation was made to utilize some of the funds NWTP had on hand to contribute to the campaigns of one or more progressive candidates. The executive board agreed and met via Zoom on October 22. The board decided to support two local candidates, in the amount of $375 each. Those two candidates are:

  • Shadi Zitoon - candidate for Texas State Senator

  • Vance Keys - candidate for Tarrant County Sheriff

Guest Speakers:


Ollie Anderson, Democratic candidate for Tarrant County Tax Assessor-Collector, discussed her candidacy and policy positions and also encouraged election of a full slate of “like minded” people to work on progressive issues and provide service to the people.


Diana Branson, the Senate District 12 member of the State Democratic Executive Committee, shared her perspective on statewide and SD12 activities in support of Democratic candidates in the November election.


Steve Maxwell, former Chairman of the Tarrant County Democratic Party, highlighted the need for election judges, clerks, and poll watchers for the November election and encouraged anyone with the time and talent to consider volunteering for these vital roles.
