Democratic Party
Marisela shared with the club that, unfortunately, she and 2 other staff members were
laid off. These layoffs are due to a budget shortfall for TCDP. The party is funded only
by local contributions. There is no state or national funding to the TCDP. TCDP is now completely run by volunteers and can use any help we can supply. The
party will continue to plan rallies and programs for Tarrant County Democrats.
Agenda Items:
Golf Tournament
The golf tournament benefitting Rodney’s campaign and our club will be held on May 17
at Cross Timbers Golf Course in Azle. We will need help from club members to make
this a success.
Things you can do:
1. Sign up to attend other Democratic clubs in the area to make an announcement
for participation and donations to the tournament.
2. Volunteer for the Tournament Committee!
3. Golfers: If you know any golfers, please ask them to play in the tournament!
4. Silent Auction: We will have a silent auction and need to solicit items, gift cards,
etc. from local merchants for the gift baskets. Sally, Becky, and Laney are
coordinating this effort.
5. Hole Sponsorships: We will sell hole sponsorships for $100.
6. Advertising
May municipal elections
We need to get the word out and get people to the polls. Jake will gather the names of
candidates for us.

Sally Craig demonstrated to members how to access and use the Tarrant County
website to find your personal voter information, voting locations, and sample ballot.
Local Rallies and Protests
Ben Maples shared information about how to engage in local rallies and protests by
using Signal and Discord and the website 50501.
