Northwest Tarrant ProgressivesMinutes: General Meeting, Wednesday, June 18, 2025

Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by the club president, Sally Craig, at

7:02 pm, with 13 members and guests present.

Minutes: The minutes of the May 2025 meeting, submitted by Karen Horgan, Secretary,

and emailed to the members, were approved as filed.

Financial Report: The financial report, showing a cash balance of $3,813.53 was

presented by Treasurer, Richard Layne, and was approved as read.

Agenda Items:

Club Fundraiser - Murder Mystery Dinner Theater

Todd Rice, the director/owner of the theater group met with the club to explain and

brainstorm ideas for the event.

 The play is a fun, interactive evening that encourages interaction with

audience members and actors.

 It would last about 2 – 2½ hours.

 He can incorporate extra fundraising opportunities within the play

 He is a supporter of Democratic causes and wants to help out our club

Things we need to work out:

 Venue

 Food, caterer, etc.

 Date

 Ticket Price

 Advertising

We will be forming a committee of club members to help with the plans for this exciting

event.

We need new ideas for future fundraisers. Some ideas include:

1. Mini Golf tournament at Lakeside Mini Golf

2. Murder Mystery Dinner Theater

3. Chili Cook-Off and Karaoke Night

4. Bowling League with other clubs

a. A 50/50 or Money Pot Winner

5. Garage Sale

TCDP Labor Day Picnic. All clubs participate. More details to follow

Membership Dues are due in January and can be paid directly to Richard, or paid

with Zelle, or on ActBlue.

Dues are

$25/person

$40/couple

New Member Promotion – Prorated memberships are being offered to any new

member joining after Feb. 1.
