Northwest Tarrant Progressives Minutes: General Meeting, Wednesday, May 15, 2024

Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by the club president, Sally Craig, at

7:04 PM, with 11 members and guests present.

Minutes: The minutes of the April 2024 meeting were presented by Karen Horgan and

approved as read.

Financial Report: The financial report, showing a cash balance of $1,463.08 was presented by

Richard Layne and was approved as read.

Items discussed:

1. Drive to the Polls Golf Tournament will be on August 24, 2024. When the TCDP gets the

flyers printed, club members will take turns placing them on car windshields at the

parking lot of Rockwood Park Golf Course on weekends.

2. Diane Symons needs help passing out campaign flyers on election day.

3. Opal Lee Luncheon will be September 7, 2024. Sally is encouraging club members to

attend.

4. We would like to find a location where the club members can get together to watch the

debate together. June 27 th and Sept 10 th . If you have a suggestion, let Sally know.

5. New member promotion. Richard suggested that we offer pro-rated memberships to

anyone who joins between now the end of the year.

6. It was suggested that the club will try to host a dinner/social hour so members can get to

know each other.

Membership Dues can be paid directly to Richard, or paid with Zelle, or on ActBlue.
