Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by the club president, Michael Stackhouse, at 7:08 PM, with 25 members and guests present.
Minutes: The Secretary, Karen Horgan, presented the minutes from the January 2022 general meeting. The minutes were approved as presented.
Financial Report: The treasurer’s report was presented by Michael Stackhouse. The financial report shows a cash balance of $787.02. The treasurer’s report was approved as presented.
Speakers:
· Scott Uhl, representing Mothers Against Greg Abbott. The group is moms (& others) who are dedicated to saving our democracy by getting rid of Abbott in the next election. Can be found on Facebook and Twitter. They need help and support.
· Mimi Coffey, candidate for Texas State Representative, District 99. No primary challenger but needs our help with her campaign in the November General Election.
· Carroll Parker, Tarrant Democratic Party Convention Chair, updates on the County and State Party Conventions. Please get involved, attend, be a voting delegate.
Tarrant County/Senate District Conventions will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022
Need delegates because at the Senate District Convention this year we will elect a State Party Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer for four-year terms.

State Texas Democratic Convention in Dallas, July 14-16, 2022.
Delegates elect a man and a woman from each senate district to serve on the State Democratic Executive Committee.
What to expect at the State Convention: Write a Party Platform. Update our Party Rules. Pass resolutions on various topics of public policy or party affairs, general session speeches by our elected officials, candidates, and national figures, lots of interest group caucuses and training sessions.
