Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by the club president, Michael Stackhouse, at 7:00 PM, with 14 members and guests present. We met at Panera Bread in Lake Worth.


Minutes: The Secretary, Sally Craig, presented the minutes from the January 2023 general meeting. The minutes were approved as presented.


Financial Report: The Treasurer, Haley Stackhouse presented the financial report, with a cash balance of $922.66. The treasurer’s report was approved as presented.


Speakers: 


Karroll Parker invited everyone to the TCDP Tacos & Politics Mixer Fundraiser the will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:30 PM at Tu-Chi of Arlington.

The tickets will be $25.

Rodney Lee announced that there will be a Golf Tournament at Cross Timbers Golf Course in Azle again this year. He will have the date and all the details for our partnership with him on the fundraiser. He will need volunteers from the club to help with event.


Announcements: 

Michael sent out invitations to all candidates running in our local municipal elections to speak to our club before the election in May. He provided the list of candidates who had submitted applications for office as on February 15th for Azle, Lake Worth, and Fort Worth.


Upcoming Activities:

The next CEC meeting will be on April 11 at 7:00. It will be a Zoom meeting.

The TCDP is looking for Volunteers to come to the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays to assist with phone calls and Thank you notes.


Membership Renewals: NWTP will be using Act Blue for new and renewing memberships in

Financial Report: The treasurer, Haley Stackhouse, presented the financial report, with a cash balance of $873.50. The treasurer’s report was approved as presented.


Speakers: 


There were no guest speakers.


Michael Stackhouse led a discussion about multiple topics.

First, the upcoming Municipal Elections (May 6). We are going to invite various candidates to speak to the club who would like for our members to help with their campaigns.

We also discussed how there is always a need for election judges and clerks.

Second, it was discussed and decided that the club will remain with the present provider for our website for the year of 2023.

Michael also discussed the Christmas party at Mimi Coffee’s house.


Anthony Sosa discussed the need for more precinct chairs in District 99.

We are going to invite all the existing District 99 precinct chairs to our club meetings.


Announcements:

Rodney Lee will partner with NWTP to build club membership and include the club in several events he has planned in the coming year.
